Standard functions
The object framework, heart of the technology,
is composed by a a whole of API meeting the following functional
needs :
- Protected connections SSL (Secure Sockets Layer)
between devices and Access Server.
- Possibility of using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) for devices
connection .
- User Authentication by login/password or “strong”
Authentication using RSA SecureID.
The Accesses to IS are realized via connectors.
Mobilis technology offers by defect the following ones :
- data bases : MSSQL, Oracle, Sybase, IBMDB2 (via JDBC).
- LDAP
- Web (HTTP, FTP)
- Windows domain for user identification.
We develop specific connectors to your applications if needed.
This library allows the synchronization of
the data in a simple way (bases data, files, images, videos...),
without the development of specific synchronization algorithms.

optimized for mobile devices.
- Package of of tools and development library facilitating the portability
of the applications.
- Server side multi-Os compatibility (Windows Server, Unix, Linux,
AS400...).
- Client side multi-Os compatibility (Pocket PC, Windows, Linux...).
- Full multi-platforms Compatibility of the developments (an application
developed for an OS is compatible with the other
platforms supported by Open Mobile
IS technology).
- Compatibility of the developments carried out in JAVA with standard
tools.
- Internationalization Support.
- Administration of mobile terminals from the Server platform.
- Remote update of the applications.
- Authentication of the accesses fully compatible with Windows domain
management.
- Administration of applications access via a profiles manager.
- Library for users and applications profiles management.
- Library for customers devices management.
- System of log and alarm notification.
4. Evolutionarity.
Open mobile IS technologyoffers a programming interface and a unique
behaviour whatever the device.
It is fully compatible with the following client-side platforms :
- Windows (98, 2000, XP).
- PocketPC (2000, 2002, 2003,2004, 2005...).
- Linux.
An application developed and tested on a PC running Windows XP will
have the same behaviour on an Ipaq running Pocket PC 2005. Our procedures
of validation guarantee an identical behaviour of the server whith
any compatible device. As soon as a new operating system is available,
the Applications Server is updated to ensure the support of it.
We can thus guarantee the compatibility of the applications
developed today on tomorrows’ mobile devices and operating systems.
